I do have a lot of bad habits.
I listen, very well honestly.
I hold the door, even if you’re an awkward distance behind me. (You don’t have to run to the door, I am patient too.)

I have come to realize that Valentine’s Day is totally a sexist holiday. Every commercial sings about chocolate, flowers and candy…for the woman in your life. What about for the man in your life? I can’t compare to the beautiful roses sitting on my dinner table but I can try…with these.
The day can be filled with so many complicated things: picking out an outfit, wrestling the toothpaste bottle, taking public transportation, debating how many expresso shots are needed to survive the morning, trying to absorb six hours of lecture, attempting to understand the Spanish teacher, then pretending to understand the Spanish teacher, reaching deadlines in reporting class, and taking public transportation…again.
Maybe not everyone’s sort of complications, but I am sure they are very similar for the most part.
The best antidote for a complicated day?
Creating unbelievable food that doesn’t take much effort.
And believe it or not — making ricotta cheese is extremely simple and incredibly gratifying. Especially when you mix it with fresh herbs or almond liqueur.
